If you like your art to be both practical and aesthetically pleasing this is the resin workshop for you. In this workshop, you will create your own piece of resin art that will then become a beautiful side table or stool (talk to me if you are interested in creating a high stool we can accommodate this with a little notice).
We’ll teach you all the tips and techniques you need to create your one of a kind masterpiece. You will learn how to work with epoxy resin, mix your own colours and the techniques required to create your very own resin top furniture.
The workshop typically runs up to three hours and includes a demonstration from Rebecca. The finished resin work will require 24 hours to dry so will need to be collected the following day - postage can be arranged for an additional charge, we will only send the top of the stool, you will need to take the legs home with you on the day of the workshop.
We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. Class sizes are always kept small so that you will enjoy hands-on assistance while you learn and create.
Since no gathering is complete without a few tasty treats, we will have some snacks on hand, we have tea and coffee making facilities in the studio but you may prefer to pick up a coffee of the barista variety from one of the local cafes.
Please note:
Resin art is not suitable for children, attendees need to be 16 years and above due to undeveloped lungs in children and the nature of toxins in resin. It is also not suitable for pregnant women.
We run this workshop at the same time as our Resin Art Workshop since the resin processes are the same - perfect if you have a friend who would like to join you but create an artwork instead!

What you'll get
Each participant will receive a table top (40cm diameter) onto which your resin will be applied and a set of 3 black stainless steel hairpin legs (as pictured). The legs come with pre-drilled holes and screws to attach to your resin board. You will need to attach the legs after your resin is fully cured and will need a drill to do this, we will take you through all the steps and everything you need to know to complete this at home or we can always assist. the legs supplied are 41cm tall. If you would prefer to create a higher stool please let us know ASAP we can get in a set of 4x72cm legs for you for an additional charge.
We will supply you with enough resin, pigment and powders as well as all the equipment and tools needed to create your piece.
It can get a bit messy so participants shouldn’t dress to impress - we will provide an apron to use during the workshop.

What to bring
Everything you need will be provided including an apron to wear during the workshop - it can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress, if you get resin on your clothes or shoes it won't wash off.
If you have long or flyaway hair, we recommend you bring something to tie it back.

The safety and wellbeing of our participants is our highest priority and we will do everything we can to ensure their safety during our workshops.
In light of the current COVID situation in NSW we have updated our COVID safe plan and have decided that for the time being we will only be admitting people to workshops who can demonstrate that they have been double vaccinated or have a legitimate medical exemption. We are also asking all participants to wear face masks that cover your nose & mouth inside the studio, we have disposable P2 masks on hand for all resin workshops that you are welcome to use but we will need you to wear your own mask when you enter the studio.
Workshops are kept to small groups with no person to person contact required. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure all work surfaces, equipment and supplies are cleaned and disinfected before and after every workshop and that sharing of equipment is avoided much as possible.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns in this regard.

Five years ago Rebecca Doyle walked away from a high-pressure, corporate career and embarked on a year of crafting. With an education in Fashion and Textiles Design and a long and varied career in fashion, Rebecca hoped to restore her passion for creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves to share the experience of creating balance through creativity and connection by crafting a beautiful object that only its maker could have made.
Made By Me Workshop run pop-up workshops including Resin Art, Free Form Weaving, macrame, Fibre Art, Terrarium Making and more in various locations around Sydney.

This is the first time for me to do resin art. I enjoyed the class and I had a great fun while doing it. It is good that the class is not too big so the teacher can focus on teaching the student one by one directly.
I really enjoyed this course, and look forward to collecting my art. Rebecca was friendly and made the class lots of fun.

I enjoyed this workshop so much. Rebecca was fantastic so personable and helpful. After a full explanation and demonstration, we were able to create our own 'masterpieces' with assistance where needed. I would definitely do this again.

Rebecca was so personable and lovely. Everything was set up perfectly for our class. It would have been great to have more opportunities to ask her questions with possibly less students in the room.
