Create the ultimate picnic set up in Lane Cove with this sleek resin fold out table!

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 10

label $200 (or 4 payments of $50 Afterpay)

Interested in making resin art? Learn all the fundamentals of this super fun medium with Chelsey in Sydney and make a beautiful fold-out resin picnic table that you can either use for wine and cheese with the girls on a day out to the beach or for a cosy night in bed with snacks and Netflix.

Resin art is on-trend, and this hands-on class will provide you with everything you need to know about it. During this class, you'll create a 50cm x 30cm rectangle resin table with fold-out legs and handles. Chelsey will not only go through how to make your resin artwork but also help you apply resin to any other projects that may interest you outside of her class.

Chelsey loves having one on one time with her students so don't be shy to ask as many questions as you like!

You'll learn all aspects including:

  • What is resin and what safety is required when using it
  • What types of resins are suitable for particular projects
  • Explore the mixing of different pigments, inks and colours and the different effects you get when mixed with resin
  • How to get lacing (cells) in your resin work
  • How to create depth and layers within your piece

Your qualified resin artist Chelsey aims to bring all of her student's creative visions to life. You are guaranteed to walk away with something you love.

Please note:
  • Teacher is very flexible with dates and times if you don’t see the day you want listed. Send me a request and we can lock you in for whatever time you like.
  • If you have a specific colour you want the legs and handles ask your teacher and she might be able to organise your desired colour for you depending on what you're after. Otherwise, the colours might vary on the day from white, and black to raw bamboo.
  • Your resin will need 24 hours to dry so you won't be able to take it home the same day. You're more than welcome to pick it up or you can arrange postage with your teacher for an additional price.

Add-ons available for this class
  • Bottle of red wine ($20)
  • Bottle of white wine ($20)
You can add these when you book (optional).

Chelsey Teale is an Australian based artist currently living in Sydney, originally born and raised in California. Chelsey has been creating mixed media art in an attempt to capture a sense of flow and movement within her paintings. Her current work would fall under abstract expressionism mixed in with minimalism. Specialising in non-traditional painting methods and straying away from using any strict guidelines on how the paintings should turn out, rather trusting the movement and flow of the medium. Her approach to her art is completely intuitive and comes from within, which makes her pieces feel authentic and original.
