Ruby Beck

Ruby Beck is an online guitar tutor who teaches internationally. Through her tailored approach to each student, Ruby puts a high level of care into finding out what her students want to accomplish with their instrument, to help them achieve their goals.

Ruby has been studying guitar diligently over the past 11 years, both individually and with various teachers and institutions, as well as gaining real-world experience in the Sydney Music scene.

She attended lessons with Llew Kiek (Mara!) at The Conservatorium of Music in Sydney. These lessons allowed her to develop a strong understanding of Alternative Rock, Jazz, Blues, and World Music. During this time, Ruby was also trained in theory through AMEB theory levels 1 and 2, which she completed with high distinctions. Previous to this, Ruby studied old and contemporary popular music with various teachers, including Peter Watson and session musician, Sean Windsor.

Outside of studying guitar and theory, Ruby has been a part of four contemporary alternative rock bands that write, rehearse, and perform original compositions at various venues. She is currently the singer and guitarist for 'Mannequin Radio,' and a guitarist in ‘Griffin Ford and The Variables’. During the past three years, she has also gained experience recording and releasing music.
