Screen Printing Workshop

After our workshop being flooded last year twice in 2 weeks, we've cleaned up, re-built and we're back! Thank you for your patience :)

Ever had that ‘great t-shirt print idea’ that you wanted to print? Well, this is your time to shine!

We provide everything you need to design and print a one-colour screen print on a premium AS colour t-shirt Included in your class fee. At the end of class, walk out in your new custom t-shirt, printed by you!

The workshop is held at 24 Hour Merchandise's purpose-built t-shirt screen printing studio at Marrickville, in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West.

The experience is broken down into three 1-hour classes

Class 1: Graphic Design
Are you interested in learning about the best approach to creating your t-shirt design? In this one-hour class, BYO laptop or use one of the laptops we provide and be guided through the best approach to create a commercial quality design for your t-shirt.

Class 2: Colour Separation and Screen Exposure
Are you interested in learning how to transfer your design to the screen and create your own screen? In this class, BYO design, or take the design you created in Class 1 and be guided through how to create a colour separation and film positive, then expose a screen and prepare it for screen printing.

Class 3: Screen Printing Your Own Custom T-Shirt
Now the fun begins. With one of our designs or your own design and screen created in Class 1 and 2, be guided through t-shirt screen printing techniques and print your own custom t-shirt.

Bring friends or family and each one of you has at your fingertips a provided laptop loaded with our super easy design tool (BYO laptop if you like), a professional one-colour print press, a squeegee and other bits and pieces you'll need, and loads of ink colours to choose from.

Your friendly & very experienced instructor will take you through the basics of designing and screen printing a t-shirt and within three hours have you printing like a pro!

Not a designer? Don't worry. We have a library of templates and stock art you can edit or add to or simply use as inspiration. You might just surprise yourself!

So join us in our relaxed, fun factory atmosphere on your own and meet like-minded people, or bring a group and have some laughs. BYO wine and snacks. No experience necessary, just a mindset to try something new, have some fun and get creative!

• Best to wear old clothes but if required we have aprons available.
