As someone who had wanted to take this class for quite some time, I had a real treat of a time last Sunday.

Sensei was an attentive teacher, who gave an excellent class filled with facts and history. In between teaching us the precise instructions on the art of Kintsugi, she gave us all 1:1 time to make sure we were doing the process correct. She even gave us all tea and snacks while we waited for the glue to dry!

I had so much fun and felt proud of my end result, which certainly brightened up my long weekend.

Painting outdoors was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday with such a great view. The weather was changeable and challenging, but Robertina took it all in her stride. She was a friendly and encouraging teacher, who gave us licence to make the painting our own, even when we had difficulty at any stage. When I finished, she even encouraged me to sign my painting! I would love to do another class in the summer when the weather is warmer.

I absolutely loved spending my Sunday afternoon making my Turkish Mosaic Candle Holder in a beautiful little shop that had so many beautiful lamps, which provided both inspiration and awe.

Didem was a great teacher, who also came to explain instructions to me personally after demonstrating to the whole class. Both her and her assistant even came round to check on each us individually throughout the class and were always on hand to help out.

I loved having Turkish tea and a snack while creating my design. The whole process all made me feel very zen.

The plastering part at home was a challenge, and I appreciated that I could contact Didem for questions and assistance. It all turned out beautifully and I love my little work of art! Doing the whole process from start to finish was worth it.

I definitely recommend this class, which really took me out of my comfort zone and taught me something that I never thought I’d ever learn.

I had SO much fun making my own terrarium this sunny Saturday afternoon! The shop was such a wonderful space to be in, which was very easy to access and to find in Neutral Bay. My teacher gave great directions, was brilliant making sure that I understood everything that I had to do, and came round individually to all of us in the class to make sure we were on the right track. It was challenging to chose which coloured sand, pebbles, and succulents to use, but it was great to have the choice. If you love plants, I highly recommend taking this class.
