We took Tanya's closed terrerium class as a family activity last year and my husband has been enjoying them so much we thought we'd attend her open terrerium class as well.
We enjoyed both equally. The closed terrerium class was slightly more complex but we can make more use of the open terrerium guidance since we have an abundance of succulents. Would have enjoyed a few more examples of possible scaping layouts, but took a lot of inspiration from the kids that attended and thier beach scapes. I realised they went back to front where they chose the toys they wanted in the terrerium and then created a habitat that matched the toy - in this case turtles.
Great hobby projects. Get a lot of comments on them. My mother and sister call regularly to "check up" on the terreriums <3

My sister, my husband and myself loved this class. We all thought Shannon was great.

In all honesty the Instructions were a lot for me to take in during the demonstration and I did get lost and started doing things out of order, but the class was a good size that you could ask questions as you go, double check if you feel your miss stepping and get regular guidance.
Shannon was always around and attentive and super responsive to everyone's questions.

My sister loved the nibbles and drinks addition and thought it would be a real lovely date night. My husband on the other hand almost immediately asked if there were any more classes we could attend. So I'd say that was a win on the workshop for us =D
Looking forward to picking them up and bringing them home.

Resin Cheeseboard Workshop review by Asia Lux - Perth

Classes are always well structured with a primary core focus and I've been able to take the exercise sheet music home but ive gotten to the stage where It's nice to go once a week, though I need to acknowledge that there's only so much you can do out of that class time practice and progression.

This is one of those situations where serious consideration needs to be made in terms of ongoing commitment and investment into your own harp to curb that gap - same as any instrument.

Been very pleased with the progression exercises. It's been nice to have something regular to go to and learn piece meal.

I loved this class. Also dragged my husband and sister along with me this morning <3

Was very pleased to be able to walk away with the instructions, ingredients/product list and an A4 page of techniques, tips and mix ratios.

I saw that people had little miniature dioramas in theirs from the photos and took a bag of discarded pokemon desk toys and stones for us, though was unaware that these were also readily provided and in abundance at the workshop.

Instructions were clear, the set up was very clean. Friendly and collegial attitudes from the participants, gorgeous terrariums to take home.
Was a really great Sunday =D

Booked a little line of these before I leave for the holidays and round 2 was just like round 1. Atmosphere was supportive, instructions were clear, still getting my head around how to move my hands up and down the harp with scales and arpeggios. But it's the start of a long journey. Mostly, I've appreciated the central location and the calm and patient atmosphere.

My husband recently started playing the piano again, and I thought I'd like to learn a new instrument.

The harp was one of two options and to be fair I fell in love with it. It's a beautiful instrument and not something I would have traditionally considered when I was younger.

The class was taught with a full pedal harp - which is huge and rather daunting, it felt like it filled the room.
The 45 minute introduction was great, just enough time to touch the instrument, hear it, get your hands in order around this thing, feel it's weight on your body when you lean it up on yourself, learn what the coloured strings and note correlation was aaaaand get your head around connecting a few bars together.

Guidance made me feel like I was a kid again and was very nostalgic. Clear instructions, very willing to help with my hand placement, well paced with bar notations - I didn't feel paniced or rushed or get flustered. Very patient, very kind, responsive to my questions some of which I'm sure we're a little ignorant on my behalf.
Will admit I struggled with the pauses and the hand removal/flourish and return to the correct octaves and note strings, but, with time I might become less awkward.

Looking forward to continuing, it was a really gentle, welcoming first step and many thanks for that experience!

This class was lovely, my husband and I had a amazing time.
The concept was easy to grasp and follow. I personally struggled in the beginning with the medium and technique but got more comfortable as time went on.
Workspace was nicely set up with enough space to move around, all materials were provided. Instructions were clear with more than enough time to complete the project.
My husband devoured the lunch platter and had a blast with the medium. Looking forward to collecting our pieces after they've dried and bringing them home.

We really enjoyed ourselves but clay is not our medium ><
Clean, open workspace, all tools provided, instructions were clear, and we were aided with tips and tricks as we went along. Teacher was very helpful with variations and supportive of creativity.
Chose this class for the use of black clay. Lovely atmosphere, patient one on one assistance, but not enough time to learn the techniques and make 2x pieces each in the allotted slot.
There's always hiccups when your learning something new and it was difficult to make up for the lost time when that happened. Was particularly rushed towards the end to finish, eat snacks and get back out the door.
But apart from that our first pieces were a great experience.
Was a nice thing to do on a Saturday morning with my other half.

So, we're never going to be welders, but we were such a mess and laughed so hard for so long
Would recommend having a vague idea of what you can put together with nuts and bolts mainly. That took up the most time. Staring at bins of bolts was a challenge for my other half. Would suggest printing out photos of what other participants have done in the past and pin them to a board somewhere in the workshop Would be nice.
Instructions we good. Equipment was daunting. Went as a couple and you cant really do much together because the work spaces are appropriately set up for one person per workstation. That's our ignorance there. But we navigated ourselves around it.
Behold! The most "what is it?" Creation!
He is now our toolbox mascot

Loved it. My husband had some hiccups with his ring but Ren was so patient and accommodating. Really simple concept that's easy to follow with impressive results.
Loved the workshop space, enough room for a small group without feeling crowded. Really enjoyed observing everyone's unique designs at the end.
Instructions were clear and allowed for a lot of creative autonomy. Many samples to take inspiration from. Very informative and responsive to our questions.
Would love to participate in another workshop again.
Many thanks for everything!
