Hi, I’m Elena — fashion designer, AAFW alumni, and maker of bespoke bridal and evening wear brand Gyre that’s been spotted in Vogue, Elle and on very happy dance-floors. My own sewing journey started as a soul-soothing escape after my daughter was born, and it grew into a calling: help more people find the same calm, confidence and creative spark that sewing gave me.

Alongside designing made-to-measure gowns, I run intimate workshops (never more than six students) on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. We’ll share endless cups of tea, plenty of laughs and my best runway-tested techniques, all in a supportive space where beginners feel brave and experienced sewists still learn something new.
