What you'll do
If you've ever wanted to learn how to use that sewing machine gathering dust at your parent's house or at the back of the cupboard, now's the time!
Sewing is an amazing skill for those simple moments where you just need to take up a hem or mend an item. Beyond that, it's an endlessly creative process, and the pride you feel when you've participated in the process of making an item or garment is incredible.
In this class you will learn:
- How to find your way around a sewing machine
- How to thread your machine
- Basic stitches
- Essential technical sounding terms like seam allowance, bobbin, topstitch
At the end of the class, return home with your completed eye pillow and the confidence to continue sewing at home.
Add on:
For $50 you can add on a starter kit that will provide you with the quality tools needed to start sewing. Each kit includes scissors, thread trimmer, tape measure, dressmakers pins and more.

Beginner-friendly. No previous experience is necessary. If you are a proficient sewist, we will offer future courses for you.
