Hi, I’m Mel from Solace Kitchen! For over 7 years I’ve followed my passion for catering, and for more than 5.5 years I ran Solace Café on Sydney’s Northern Beaches — a place that became known for its top ratings and welcoming atmosphere. Solace has been recognized as a Finalist in the Local Business Awards six years running, and that’s because I believe food should be more than just a meal — it should be an experience.
Teaching has been one of the greatest joys of my journey. For the past 6 years, I’ve loved showing people how to cook delicious, nourishing food, grow their own produce, live more sustainably, and master the art of fermentation — from kombucha and jun to kefir.
