Looking for ways to explore and experiment with elements of design? This Sunshine Coast course is perfect for you!
Studio Art Class on Fridays is an ongoing course that will start you using basic art mediums to explore and manipulate materials and understand how to use art as a vehicle for self-expression.
Once you work through each medium for two hours each week, you are then confidently going to work through how design elements can be visually supportive for an idea or artwork you have in mind.
The course will give you an insight into tools and activities to begin confidently in graphite and pencil, watercolour pencils, painting and dry pastels.
You will get to investigate visual arts elements such as line, colour, shape and texture using a variety of simple media. You will also be shown some creative and easy ways to take these techniques and skills further in exercises designed to get you combining these in a journal space.
If you wish to get amongst other like minded creative souls, then this is a great way to start your weekend! This studio space is inspiring and gives you an understanding of how an artist creates and enhance your mindfulness of what a visual journey into art can be!

Your teacher
Janine Delgos is a Visual Artist who works in 3D and 2D media and has a career in art education spanning 35 years. She has valued networking and supporting community connections for both adults and students and assisting others in making pathways through visual art. She has been a designer and facilitator of workshops and visual arts projects in various media, size and scale.
Janine completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts from Melbourne State College ( now Melbourne University) in 1984 and has taught extensively in Victoria and Queensland within the Education Department for the last 30 years as a Visual Arts teacher. Now her passion is being channelled into her own studio that offers workshops in ceramics, painting, drawing, watercolours, pastels and printmaking.
