Unlock your creativity as we delve into the magic of sustainable fashion—because a ripped or torn piece of clothing is a sign it’s well-loved, not that it needs to be tossed out.

In this short Sydney workshop, you will learn essential skills to mend and repair your clothes, ensuring they last longer and reduce waste. By extending the life of your clothes by just nine months, you can reduce their carbon, water, and waste footprint by 20 to 30 per cent. Plus, you'll discover the joy of upcycling, where you'll transform forgotten pieces into unique fashion statements, tailored to your personal style.

Over one-and-a-half hours, you will learn easy hand-sewing techniques to repair your favourite clothes including:

  • Sewing on a button
  • Mending a hole with visible mending
  • Basic hand embroidery

Beginners are welcomed and encouraged as friendly maker Bronnie will guide you through the fundamentals of mending and hand embroidery. From delicate stitches to vibrant patterns, you'll explore the endless possibilities of embroidery, allowing your imagination to soar!

I started making and crafting as a way to practice mindfulness and create time for myself in this busy world.

My journey started when I made a bag for a girlfriend as a gift and not before long I was designing and making beach bags and selling them at local markets. My passion and hobby became my work, what a joy!

I began to explore other arts and crafts including jewellery making, embroidery, crochet and macrame. Whilst I love making and creating for markets and my Etsy store, my real passion is inspiring others to get creative and to enjoy the process. I truly believe everybody has a creative side!
