$160 - $210
($160 for Two Coasters, $160 for Oval Trinket Tray, $180 for Pot, $180 for Round Tray, $200 for Pot and Oval Trinket Tray, $210 for Pot and Round Tray. $250 per class surcharge applies for private classes)
We are so in love with terrazzo that we couldn't decide which shape to offer in this new workshop so the choice is yours! You can make a terrazzo pot, an oval tray, a round tray, a pair of square coasters or a combination of these shapes!
In this workshop, we will guide you through all the steps to make your chosen Jesmonite homeware item. Jesmonite is a gypsum and acrylic-based material, which is solvent-free and has no VOC's and is often called an eco-resin.
What you will learn:
Learn how to mix and add colours to the Jesmonite to create your own choice of colour palette (don't worry we will have lots of colour inspiration for you to work with)
Create your coloured chips (maximum of three colours) that will go into your terrazzo mix
Cast the materials into a silicon mould for your chosen shape
Once your piece is cured we will show you how to sand and seal them and send you home with all the sandpaper you need to finish the job!
We'll have some refreshments for you to enjoy (or you can grab a coffee from one of the local cafes) while we take you through the finishing process.
We believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection, in our workshops you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share a few stories, laugh with each other and simply enjoy some time out for yourself.
Class sizes are always kept small so that you enjoy hands-on assistance while you learn and create.
Jesmonite is considered safe by most experts. Its lightweight form does not emit toxic fumes, and there are no documented health risks associated with Jesmonite, we recommend pregnant women check with their health care professional before working with any chemicals.
Please note if you choose to make more than one piece (limited to a maximum of two) you will need to make these from the same colour selection, unfortunately, there is not enough time or space in this workshop to make multiple colour options.
Cancellation policy:
You can reschedule your class with up to 10 days notice, 24 hours notice if you must COVID-isolate (proof maybe requested) We do not refund classes but you are welcome to send someone else in your place if you can't make it on the day. We reserve the right to cancel classes if minimum numbers are not met in which case we will offer to reschedule or a full refund.

No prior experience required, this class is suitable for absolute beginners with an open mind and a spirit of adventure.

What you'll get
Use of our silicon mould as well as all the materials, tools and equipment needed to create your homeware piece.

What to bring
You may want to bring along any colour inspiration you or terrazzo references you have, we will have some on hand but since there are limitless possibilities it is a good idea to know what you like! Also, a bag to carry your work home in.
We provide everything you need for the workshop including an apron to protect your clothes but it can get a bit messy so don't dress to impress.
The safety and wellbeing of our participants is our highest priority and we will do everything we can to ensure their safety during our workshops.
In light of the current COVID situation in NSW we have updated our COVID safe plan and have decided that for the time being we will only be admitting people to workshops who can demonstrate that they have been double vaccinated or have a legitimate medical exemption. We are also asking all participants to wear face masks that cover your nose & mouth inside the studio, we have disposable P2 masks on hand for all resin workshops that you are welcome to use but we will need you to wear your own mask when you enter the studio.
Workshops are kept to small groups with no person to person contact required. We will be taking extra precautions to ensure all work surfaces, equipment and supplies are cleaned and disinfected before and after every workshop and that sharing of equipment is avoided much as possible.
Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns in this regard.

My partner and I had a fantastic time and can't recommend the terrazo class enough. A big thanks to Rebecca for a Sunday afternoon well spent.

This was a lot of fun, and very relaxing. Instructions were clear, making the pots was enjoyable, and everyone was very helpful. And we had tea and cookies! The only thing to note is that if you do two pieces instead of one, you might end up going over time - would recommend doing just one so you don't feel stressed trying to finish them both up.

Bec was a great teacher, informative and helpful. I learned a lot about the science behind the process of creating terrazzo items, colours and techniques. I want to book again and make some other items soon :)

I had a great time at the terrazzo workshop. I made a pot and an oval trinket tray. I can’t wait to sand mine up so I can see the finished product. The class was run really well - Rebecca and Naomi are great. There was a lovely vibe and I had the best afternoon getting my craft on. I would highly recommend this workshop.

Fantastic class Rebecca was lovely and very knowledgeable in the art of Terrazo. My sister and I had a fab time and came home with a gorgeous plant pot. The location is great, parking can be a little tricky so just leave a extra 15 mins early. Definitely want to go again!

I absolutely loved this workshop Rebecca and Naomi were so great and extremely helpful - Rebecca was so knowledgeable and you can tell she loves what she does The workshop itself was fun and so interesting. All the materials were provided and there were extras if you made any mistakes. You get to take what you made home with you on the day which is another plus. 100% would do it again!
