What you'll do
Come join this one-of-a-kind minimalist textured art workshop where we will explore different tools and techniques and create abstract patterns and shapes to your work which will add a delicate balance of living to your home.
The process is incredibly relaxing and hands-on and there's no right or wrong way to create it. The good news? If you don't like what you've made, swipe your artwork and start again. You can keep creating shapes and patterns until you are happy with your final result. You will have full creative freedom to explore this wonderful technique.
During this class, you will explore different mediums and tools used to create minimalist abstract patterns and shapes such as arches and waves. You will be guided through the entire process and given full instructions on how to create gorgeous ready-to-hang artworks at home.
What you will learn:
- Use of different mediums and tools to create different abstract shapes
- How to colour your textured piece
- How to control the chaos
- How to start again when we mess up (we're all human)
- Finding your own creative voice within your painting - creating your own style!
- Meet like-minded people, share ideas and experiment!
At the end of the class, take home your textured masterpiece and memories of this fun and social experience!
Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly. You don't have to be creative, just a willingness to enjoy and have fun.

Your teacher
Chelsey Teale is an Australian based artist currently living in Sydney, originally born and raised in California. Chelsey has been creating mixed media art in an attempt to capture a sense of flow and movement within her paintings. Her current work would fall under abstract expressionism mixed in with minimalism. Specialising in non-traditional painting methods and straying away from using any strict guidelines on how the paintings should turn out, rather trusting the movement and flow of the medium. Her approach to her art is completely intuitive and comes from within, which makes her pieces feel authentic and original.
