Hi, I'm Samira, the founder of The Bead Social.
I've been making jewellery for over 20 years, and what started as a creative hobby has become something I'm incredibly passionate about sharing with others.
The Bead Social was born after the arrival of my second child. Like many new mums, I found myself craving connection and wanted to create a space where people could step away from the busyness of everyday life, slow down, get creative and connect with others. I truly believe that some of the best conversations happen when your hands are busy creating something beautiful.
Before starting The Bead Social, I spent more than five years working as a Registered Nurse. While I loved caring for my patients, the part of my career that brought me the most joy was teaching. I was fortunate to facilitate workshops and educational sessions for nurses and staff, and I quickly realised how much I loved helping people learn new skills and build confidence. That passion for teaching has stayed with me, and it's one of the biggest reasons I love hosting jewellery-making workshops today.
One of my favourite moments at every workshop is watching someone arrive saying, "I'm not creative, " only to leave wearing a necklace they've proudly designed themselves. Seeing that confidence grow never gets old.
I believe jewellery should be more than just beautiful; it should be something you'll genuinely treasure and wear for years to come. That's why I carefully source quality gemstones, freshwater pearls and durable stainless steel findings, so every piece you create feels special and lasts well beyond the workshop.
Whether you're celebrating a birthday, planning a hens party, organising a team event or simply looking for a fun afternoon with friends, my goal is to make every workshop feel relaxed, welcoming and inspiring. No experience is needed—just a willingness to have fun, try something new and enjoy the creative process.
I can't wait to meet you, hear your story and help you create a piece of jewellery that's uniquely yours.
