Where are the best, the most delicious and authentic Lebanese sweets made in all of the world? The answer is the city of Tripoli, in Lebanon, Mums home town. But wait there is one more secret. Mums parents, our late grandparents Jido Ibrahim and Tayta Amineh were pioneers of Lebanese sweets and built an empire in Tripoli in the early 1950s.

Maamoul, delicate semolina biscuits filled with rose and orange blossom soaked pistachios and walnuts, as well as soft and crumbly date shortbreads, are some of the recipes we inherited and perfected over the years.

Mums Maamoul is made for all of the holidays, Eid, Christmas and Easter as well as for special occasions. These recipes are family heirlooms we cannot wait to share with you.

Return home feeling satisfied and like you are part of the family!

What's on the menu?

  • Learn the art of Lebanese Shai (tea) and Ahweh (coffee) to kick off the session
  • Maamoul
  • Signature Shortbread
  • Karbouj Halab - a unique rose and orange blossom meringue that originated in Syria and travelled to Tripoli used to top the Pistachio Maamoul

As well as the opportunity to taste test all your amazing creations, you will also receive two Maamoul moulds to take home so you can recreate these delicious treats!

Sunday Kitchen was born out of a love for cooking, delighting and the desire to share that joy with others. It is a tribute to the heart warming lunches mum would prepare on the weekend when we were young. The kitchen was a peaceful place in our home growing up, a place to dance, share and unwind, a place to cook from your heart and prepare dishes, laced with heritage and tradition.

Come on a journey into our kitchen and immerse yourself in an afternoon rich in family history and culture, as we prepare together a collection of dishes just as we would growing up.

A celebration of food, storytelling, cooking, and sharing.
