When I got to class on the day I understood as I had a lot of fellow tufters there already. The instructors had my design already drawn out and ready for me to start. He gave me a brief introduction and demonstration to tufting before I started. I’ve had previous experience tufting already, but was still able to make hole in my canvas/cloth. I tried to fix the hole myself but made it bigger which was annoying but my own fault. Luckily they were able to save it and made it look perfect. Very happy with the result.

The teachers are helpful but generally leave you to it, you won't get guided step by step directions like in other classes. Factor in extra time for finishing the rug, and be prepared to head out for a coffee while the teachers attach the rug backing before you come back to shave and trim your rug. We took 4 hours for a 40x40cm rug. The finished rug looks excellent, and we had a really great day.
