5 hours Class size 1 to 4 (public dates), 4 to 5 label $160 (or 4 payments of $40 via Afterpay)

Learn how to create your own Six-course Indian vegan feast in a practical & intensive workshop with a friend or partner.

Join writer and Indian food enthusiast, Bhavna Kalra, for an evening of wholesome goodness, as you learn all about the basics of vegan Indian cooking using seasonal vegetables.

You’ll come away with a whole lot of knowledge on how to prepare your curries, Dals, and vegetable dishes that will become a staple in your kitchen. Not only will this cooking class give you the confidence to get familiar with the spices and lentils that you can use in everyday cooking but will also give you practical tips on how to incorporate a wholesome Indian way of cooking in your daily life.

During the class, we will cover:

  • A history of the origin of the dishes we will cook during the class
  • Spices 1 – 2 – 3: A rundown on what spices do you need in your kitchen to cook Indian food and where to find them
  • Being a vegan with Indian cuisine

After the class, you will get to sit down and share the meal that you have cooked lovingly with your own hands.

Please note: This course is suitable for people who are gluten intolerant, vegan and/or vegetarian.

COVID safety: Due to the current COVID situation, the organiser will be taking the utmost precaution to ensure that the participants are safe. There will be a temperature check conducted on the premise and hand sanitisers provided.

A fantastic, informative, professional, fun experience that I definitely want to do again. Whether for a solo experience, with a friend or a group, this class is a must! The food was absolutely the best I have eaten in my long love affair with Indian food & I already feel empowered & confident that I can replicate it at home. Bhavna is a culinary magician & one of the nicest people I have met. Her knowledge of Indian history & the origins of the ingredients enhances the cooking experience. This was the best Christmas present I have received in a long time. An awesome gift idea & a lovely date day with my husband. I highly recommend this class.

Mu husband and I had a brilliant night and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
We prepared and cooked a 5 course meal instructed by Bhavna in her home. The food was delicious and we even got to take it home to enjoy also.
She also prepared step by step instructions and recipes for us to take home so we could prepare these meals again. Bhavna was kind, patient, had a wonderful vibrant personality and was a wealth of knowledge in Indian cooking and culture. We would highly recommend this to anyone who is keen on doing an Indian cooking class.
