What you'll do
Our beginner-friendly watercolour class, led by resident artist Philip Okwara, is focused on the theme of 'Nature', offering endless possibilities for incorporating floral elements into your artwork. With Phillip's expert guidance, you're sure to have a delightful and memorable painting experience.Phillip came to Sydney from Kharkiv, Ukraine. He is a former interpreter and translator, currently working for a local non-for-profit organization. Phillip is also highly passionate about art and creativity. He attended Art School for almost 4 years and finished Decorative Faculty at his college. Phillip also holds a degree in English Teaching. Having previously worked for Sydney based Art Therapy company ABCT Australia, he now wishes to share all this knowledge with Blue Peony Foundation visitors.Classes will include step-by-step painting lessons, interesting facts about the history of art and an overall pleasant and fun time!This painting class is both a fun experience where you can create your own masterpiece and also a chance to support newly arrived Ukrainian artists and fund an art session for 1-2 displaced Ukrainians.Looking forward to meeting you!Please note:Must be over 18 unless accompanied by an adult.
