What you'll do
Discover the relaxing and mindful art of wet felting with Silk & Soap in Glenhaven.
In this one day workshop, we will take some time to find creative flow and learn to felt three delightful little 'vessels' - these are made from wool fibres and can be as thick and sturdy or as airy and ethereal as you choose.
Whether you wish to keep precious trinkets safe or put a candle inside to create magical shapes and light, these unique and earthy sculptures will be truly precious and their softness and strength will remind you of the power you hold in your hands.
Afternoon tea will be provided as well as towels, soap and mats. Materials can be supplied for an additional $25 (you may choose your colour palate in advance and we will procure the fibres for you) or you may purchase the wool on the day (subject to what is available).

Knowledge required
Strongly beginner-friendly but anyone with prior knowledge may elect to do a more challenging piece.
What you'll get
- Three completed felted sculptures or 'vessels'.
- Afternoon tea and scones.

What to bring
- Lunch (something quick and easy - you won't want to be sitting out for too long!).
- Comfortable shoes (we will be doing a bit of standing).
- A water bottle (we need to stay hydrated through all this creating!).
- Felting wool (if you do not wish to purchase it from your teacher).

My name is Annabelle and I am a Sydney based fibre artist. I have been felting for 10 years and have had a body of felted work displayed at the NSW Art Gallery in 2016 .
I am a lover of all things textured and love experimenting with sculptural felt!
I am passionate about teaching mindfulness through artistic practice and enjoy connecting deeply with people over their creations.
I have run workshops in Nuno felting, wet felting and love to add detail to works with embroidery and needle felting.
I love helping people create their vision, but I equally love watching something new and surprising and exquisitely unique take form during a workshop.
