Women's Junk Journalling Experience

Spend an evening junk journalling with other women!

1.5 hours Experience size 1 to 6 guests       $45

Join us for a relaxed and creative evening of junk journalling, where a small group of women come together to create, connect, and enjoy the simple joy of making. Whether you are completely new to junk journaling or have been creating for years, everyone is welcome. No experience is needed—just bring your creativity and a willingness to explore something new in a warm and supportive environment.
Spend the evening working on your own junk journal, creating pages that reflect your personality, memories, and imagination. Feel free to bring along any journal or project you are currently working on, or come ready to begin a new creative journey.
Materials will be provided, along with tea and coffee to enjoy while we create and connect. You are welcome to bring your own journal to work in or an old book you would like to transform. If you don’t have one, journals will be available to purchase on the night for an additional cost.
This is more than just a craft night—it’s an opportunity to slow down, meet like-minded women, share creativity, and enjoy the positive impact that making can have on your well-being.
Come along, create, connect and enjoy an evening of creativity in a welcoming community.

Hi, I'm Jo, and creativity has been woven into my life for as long as I can remember.
Over the years, I have explored countless creative mediums, from paper crafting, sewing, jewellery making, and resin art to doll and bear making. My latest passions are junk journaling, bookbinding, and mixed media art—where I love rescuing old books, forgotten treasures, and vintage pieces from landfill and transforming them into unique works of art with new stories to tell.
My creative journey has also been recognised through paper crafting competitions, where I have been fortunate enough to win awards for my work. I have also had my creations published in scrapbook and paper crafting magazines, which has been a beautiful acknowledgement of my passion and dedication to the craft.
My love of creating began in childhood, thanks to a mum who encouraged my imagination and filled rainy days with creative projects. My father, a talented tailor, taught me the art of sewing and gave me another wonderful way to express myself through making. Although I trained and worked as a hairdresser by trade, my true passion has always been art and the joy that comes from creating.
I am grateful to have passed this love of creativity on to my own children, and it has been wonderful to watch my daughter follow her own artistic path as she pursues a career in animation.
What I love most about art is its ability to connect people. Creating together opens conversations, builds confidence, and forms a sense of community and belonging. I believe creativity is something everyone carries within them, and there is no better feeling than discovering that spark and giving yourself permission to play, explore, and create.
Whether you are an experienced artist or someone simply wanting to try something new, I love creating welcoming spaces where people can come together, share, learn, and be inspired.
