I felt welcome and was able to keep up despite my lack of experience and despite not having all the fancy materials. (I signed up a few days before the class and didn’t want to risk my box not arriving in time, so I just made sure I had the right kind of fineliner and the other suggested materials.) I particularly appreciated Niki’s step-by-step instructions and demonstrations; it was easy to watch and follow what she was doing on her screen. I enjoyed learning about the different patterns and what they would be useful for, and appreciated that Niki wrote out all the names for us — I don’t think I would have been able to spell them correctly if I’d just been going by what I heard!

I was anxious before the class about drawing straight with a pen, as I get nervous about making mistakes and then hating the artwork. But during this class, that anxiety just went away and I was in such a zone creating the zen patterns. HIGHLY recommend this class! Thanks Niki

But with step by step instructions and lots of reassurance, we were all able to produce an amazingly detailed tile! I'm keen to keep practicing, and very keen to try the other classes Nikki runs.

Niki ran a wonderful Zentangle session for us on Zoom; she explained the processes well, was patient with those of us who were not quite so good at drawing straight lines! And showed us many different patterns and methods that we are all excited to go away and use. Highly recommended team activity!
