What you'll do
In this after school course of 5 wheel throwing classes your 10-17 years old kids will learn basics of wheel throwing, trimming and glazing. They will be able to finish and take home 10 pots each. We will teach them how to make cups, bowls, planters, candle holders.
Making pottery is not only a creative process but it is also meditative and mindfulness practice for adults and children alike. In this course we plan to give demonstrations and guidance on making pots but we will also encourage everyone to be creative and playful and add their own flare to their work.
Parents are welcome to join the same class.
This class is designed for beginners. All materials and tools are provided.
Need to wear casual clothes and shoes as you will get messy.
Knowledge required
No experience needed.
What you'll get
Demonstrations, instructions, guidance, help, encouragement to be creative, assistance with developing their own ideas.
What to bring
Apron or a towel. Long hair needs to be pulled back and nails need to be trimmed.
Suitable for
This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team building activity, birthday or hens party.
Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 10 years old).
Adult accompaniment is not required.
