Soba is the Japanese name for buckwheat. It usually refers to thin noodles made from buckwheat flour or a combination of buckwheat and wheat flour. Soba noodles are then served with a dipping sauce broth (vegan).
Join your teacher and learn how to make your own soba noodles from scratch. Please note that this is not an easy skill, it takes practice and time to become skilled at soba making. Nonetheless, it will be a good learning experience. There will be 40% organic all purpose flour used during class for beginners. If you have gluten allergies and would require a different recipe, please let the teacher know in advance.
This class is good for beginners. You will be introduced to the soba noodle-making process, which involves a unique mixing and kneading technique, followed by rolling with two wooden poles and finally thinly cutting with a soba cutting knife. Then cooking the noodles and preparing the noodles with vegan noodles dip.
