Hi, I’m Charmie, a cake decorating and edible floral art instructor from Singapore.
I’ve been decorating cakes and teaching cake decorating for many years, with a particular passion for creating delicate, detailed edible flowers and decorative elements.
What I enjoy most is exploring how different ingredients can be transformed into beautiful edible creations. I’m especially interested in working with locally available ingredients and discovering how their natural colours, textures and characteristics can be incorporated into cake decoration and edible floral art.
My classes combine cake decorating techniques with Korean-inspired flower piping, allowing students to explore different ways of creating flowers, textures and decorative details. I work with a variety of edible mediums depending on the project, including bean paste and other ingredient-based techniques.
I’ve taught students with different levels of experience, from complete beginners to those who already have some cake decorating skills. My classes are usually hands-on, online and also hybrid, and I like to explain each step clearly while sharing the small techniques that can make a big difference to the final result.
I believe you don’t need to be an artist or have years of experience to create something beautiful. With the right techniques, guidance and a little practice, anyone can enjoy turning simple ingredients into edible art.
I’m based in Singapore and look forward to sharing my techniques and exploring creative possibilities with students in Australia and beyond.
I hope you’ll enjoy learning, experimenting and creating with me!
