What you'll do
Learn how to create your own cute unique ceramics in this hand-building pottery class in Sydney! This is the perfect way to relax and unwind and makes a great experience gift for Christmas.You will create from a lump of clay this gorgeous piece of work, with a few simple pottery techniques using your own hands and sculpturing, molding an olive branch and attaching it to your creation. This class is perfect for beginners as you will be guided through step-by-step instructions and your teacher will be demonstrating along with you, as you create this gorgeous and unique olive bowl.This olive bowl has separate areas for your olives, pips and toothpicks. You will be using an Earthenware White body clay and all firing and glazing are included in the price.If you wish to paint your creation after it has dried and hardened then you can return to underglaze it with ceramic paints. This will involve an additional class and you can discuss this with your teacher after the workshop. Once fired and glazed you can use your pieces and put them into the dishwasher.You will need to allow up to three weeks before collecting your pieces from Tennyson Studio or we can ship it to you at an extra cost.What an amazin gift this will make for you or your friends!

I took up ceramics and acrylic painting workshops as a hobby back in 1996, did US Ambassadors Ceramics Course with Duncan in 1998 and upon quitting my fulltime job, opened my studio in 2001.We have been creating and inspiring anyone who has never painted before to unwind, create, and paint for the joy and therapeutic benefits. We are all about enjoying the experience with us especially if you have never painted or worked with ceramics before.Our Introduction class session is a great way to see if you would like to join us in a course. We also offer kids and adult birthday parties, hens parties, corporate team bonding, school holiday workshops and kids art classes.
