$45 ($50 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $45/guest for 2+ guests) (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Do you have a pottery project in mind, or are you simply curious to touch clay and follow where inspiration leads? Whether you arrive with a clear idea or none at all, you’ll be encouraged to explore your creativity through freeform shaping and colourful decorations!
Bettina will demonstrate a range of hand-building and mark-making techniques, offering gentle guidance as you shape your clay into pots or unique sculptural pieces. After shaping, you will use coloured liquid clay to add finishing touches to your work.
Your booking includes glazing and kiln-firing for one piece per person, as long as it is no taller than 15 cm and no wider than 20 cm. Firing of larger pieces is subject to available kiln space and may incur an additional cost.
You will leave your work for glazing and kiln-firing and your finished piece will be ready for collection approximately two weeks after the class.
What you'll get
  • Creative experience in a relaxed studio setting.
  • Make unique, colourful ceramic pieces.
  • Glazing and kiln-firing are included in your booking.

I'm a somatic clay therapist offering mindfulness-based pottery classes and one-on-one therapy sessions in a calm and welcoming studio.
Before finding my way to clay, I spent several years in academia, completing a PhD in psychology and teaching at university. I began working with clay as a hobby, and over time, what started as a personal mindfulness practice evolved into a professional calling, leading me to train as a Clay Field® therapist.
I started Wheelfulness in 2019, and since then it has become known for its personalised approach that cultivates somatic mindfulness at the pottery wheel. Now, from my new studio in Matraville, I continue to offer small-group pottery classes alongside one-on-one clay therapy sessions.
