Play with natural ingredients to create your very own clean moisturiser

1.5 hours Class size 1 to 4 guests

$85 - $90 ($90 per guest when you book for 1 guest, $85/guest for 2+ guests) (Afterpay & PayPal Pay in 4 available)

Step into a space where the noise of the city fades, replaced by the gentle scent of raw botanicals and the warmth of a quiet, creative afternoon. At our skincare workshop, we invite you to slow down and reconnect with the grounding, healing gifts of the Earth.
This is more than just a workshop; it’s an invitation to pause and breathe. You’ll spend these hours immersed in the tactile beauty of pure, nourishing ingredients like raw shea butter, learning the intentional art of crafting skincare from scratch. There is something deeply meditative about watching the rich, golden butters melt and blending them with your own chosen essential oils, tailoring every drop to your skin’s unique story.
Whether you’re sharing this moment with a dear friend, celebrating a special milestone, or simply stealing a few hours of solitude, you’ll find yourself completely swept up in the process. We’ll guide you through every step of formulating clean, zero-waste balms that you’ll feel proud to call your own. Along with an intentionally curated jar, you’ll leave with the quiet confidence of knowing exactly what goes onto your skin, a skill that stays with you long after the session ends.
Come as you are, and get ready to leave feeling a little more centred, inspired, and deeply connected to the Earth's raw, natural magic.
We can’t wait to welcome you for this restorative experience. Please note that this is an adult-only session (18+), since we work with heat throughout the workshop.

FAQ

Can I book a private session for a group?
Yes — private workshops are available for groups of up to 4 people currently. However, if the group size is larger than 4 people, send us a message through ClassBento to discuss your needs. Perfect for birthdays, hens parties, corporate team building or any special occasion.
I am vegan, is this class suitable for me?
Yes, we offer plant-based ingredients as well. Just mention your preference while making the booking.
Is this workshop suitable for people with sensitive skin?
Yes — all ingredients are natural and chosen specifically for skin compatibility. We offer three formulations for dry, normal and oily skin. If you have known allergies to any botanical ingredients please let us know when booking.
See more FAQs
How long will my body balm last?
Your body balm has a shelf life of 10–12 months stored away from direct sunlight and heat. It contains vitamin E as a natural preservative.
Can I make this at home after the workshop?
Absolutely — that's the whole point. You'll take home a full recipe booklet with the exact quantities and method.
What if I have a nut allergy?
Shea butter is derived from the shea tree nut. Most people with nut allergies tolerate it well as the allergenic proteins are largely removed during processing — however if you have a severe tree nut allergy please consult your doctor before attending and let us know when booking.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothes you don't mind getting a small amount of oil on. We work with natural ingredients so any marks wash out easily — but it's worth being comfortable rather than precious about your outfit.
Can I attend if I'm pregnant?
We welcome pregnant guests and can absolutely prepare an unscented balm using no essential oils. However if you're in your first trimester or are particularly sensitive to smell during pregnancy, it's worth considering that the workshop table will have multiple essential oils being opened and blended by other guests throughout the session. The scents are natural and botanical but they are present in the room. If strong smells trigger nausea for you right now, you may find the environment uncomfortable regardless of your own blend choice. We'd suggest waiting until your second trimester when smell sensitivity typically eases, or booking a private session where we can control the environment more carefully for you. Please reach out before booking and we'll find the best option for you.
Can I bring my child to the workshop?
Our workshops are designed as an intimate, adult-only experience. As we’ll be working with heat and botanical ingredients, we keep our sessions kid-free to maintain a safe, meditative, and sensory-focused space where you can connect deeply with the Earth's elements.
I have a skin allergy — can I still attend?
Possibly yes — but please message us before booking rather than after. Our formulations use natural botanical ingredients some of may be common allergens for certain people. We want to make sure we can genuinely cater to your specific needs before you commit to a spot. Send us a message through ClassBento with details of your allergy and we'll let you know honestly whether we can accommodate you safely. Your skin's safety matters more to us than filling a seat.

Welcome to Mitti—a space born from a deep reverence for the Earth and a passion for mindful, botanical skincare. Derived from the Hindi word for soil or Earth, Mitti is a return to modern minimalism grounded in nature's quiet wisdom.
My journey into botanical formulation began with a simple desire: to strip away the synthetic noise of conventional personal care and reconnect with raw, living ingredients. I believe that what we put on our bodies should be as pure and intentionally sourced as the food we eat, which is why everything created here prioritises plastic-free, sustainable, and zero-waste principles. Every creation is a celebration of ritual, slow living, and environmental responsibility.
Through Mitti, I want to demystify the art of natural formulation and share the joy of crafting your own self-care rituals.
In our hands-on Sydney workshops, we invite you to slow down, engage your senses, and connect with raw botanical ingredients.
