Maria is the Artist and Teacher at Designs by Poly. She has been teaching wood burning for the past six years, combining her love of fire and art into something that she is passionate about. Maria enjoys seeing people of all ages and abilities give it a go and create something they’re proud of. There’s nothing better than those smiles at the end when everyone gets to take home their pieces.

Sew Make Create is a creative workshop for small, intimate classes to teach new skills. Come discover a new hobby and learn from our Teachers who are passionate about their craft. Classes teach a range of skills that are related to design, art and craft. We are also an open workshop space and drop-in sewing studio for Designers, Artists, Makers and Creatives. Our workshop is located on the edge of the city in Chippendale.We run adult classes every weekend, weekly classes for kids and school holiday workshops. We offer private classes and can customise a workshop for your group or event. You can also drop into our sewing studio to use our workshop facilities to work on your own projects.
