Join our wheel-throwing class and discover the joy of throwing!
Working with clay can be therapeutic and calming, making the experience both rewarding and enjoyable. In this workshop, you will learn how to use a pottery wheel to create your own unique pieces. Don't worry if you're a beginner – you will be guided and supported every step of the way.
Throughout this 6-week course, you will have the opportunity to experiment with different techniques and shapes, unleashing your inner artist.
  • Week 1: Wheel throwing simple objects such as cups, beakers, planters and bowls.
  • Week 2: Trimming/turning pots
  • Week 3: Wheel throwing continues
  • Week 4: Trimming/turning pots
  • Week 5: Decorating pots and add additions such as handles, sprigs, transfers or underglazes.
  • Week 6: Glazing
By the end of the classes, you'll have created your own unique pieces to take home and show off to family and friends.

*Please ensure that you can make each session; as unfortunately, we cannot provide make-up classes.
*We will glaze and fire your artworks during the course. Once they are ready we will contact you to let you know suitable times for collection. We cannot store artworks for longer than 6 months due to space limitations. After this time, all uncollected works will be donated.
*The utmost care will always be taken with your precious artworks. Occasionally, ceramics crack or break in the firing process. We cannot accept liability under these circumstances.
We require a minimum number of enrolments to run the class. In the event that the class does not reach minimum numbers, we will cancel and reschedule your booking.

Old clothes, enclosed shoes, a water bottle, a towel, an art diary, an apron, and a P2 mask are recommended.

This class series runs over 6 consecutive sessions, at the same time every week.
