First you fold two large sheets of paper in half, then in half again, then do this the other way. This will form the inside pages of your book.

During the workshop, you'll start with a flat A4 paper, mastering the art of folding and cutting to create a mini book. This foundation will empower you to tackle larger paper sizes like A3 or 50cm x 70cm- A2, to craft your second larger book. The possibilities are endless with creative variations such as pockets, windows, and vibrant colours, making each project a unique creative adventure.
Your teacher will demonstrate how to fold A3 paper to create a cover and securely attach it to your book without using any glue. Additionally, you'll have the chance to combine books when you want to create more pages or experiment with square paper to craft a charming square book.

Knowledge required
Some basic experience in cutting and folding paper paper is helpful.
What to bring
  • Scissors
  • A teaspoon or butter knife
  • Cutting mat or sheet of cardboard
  • Craft knife or Xacto knife and #11 blade or you can use scissors instead.
  • Pencil
  • Metal ruler
  • Paper for first book-Two A4 sheets of paper -this can be inexpensive copy paper or nice art paper, it doesn’t matter.
  • Paper for inside second book- One or two Large sheets (50cms X 70cms or A2 size) of any white or cream drawing paper, mi tientes, watercolour, or heavy white paper from newsagent - this size can vary. Preferably card stock weight 210-330gsm
  • A3 Paper for cover of second book - can be wrapping paper, plain paper, old artwork, drawing paper, watercolour paper or Mi tientes colour paper good too. Weight 120gsm- 210gsm
