In this affirming 'Memoir: Writing Your Life' class, you'll embark on a journey of self-discovery and storytelling. Begin exploring your life's significant events, and learn how to tackle the task of crafting your own memoir.
This workshop will gently guide you through the process of introspection, reflection, and expression, providing you with the tools and confidence to put pen to paper.
Throughout the activity, you'll explore your memories, experiences, and emotions, and gain the tools and confidence to start getting words on the page (or screen).
No previous writing experience is required – just the desire to record your life and claim your voice.
By the end of the session, you'll have a memoir in progress, and a renewed appreciation for the beauty and depth of your life story.
What to bring
Your favourite writing implements.
Pens and paper, or laptop are ideal. Make sure your laptop is charged!
Reading glasses.
Optional - One or more favourite personal photographs.
