Before finding my way to clay, I spent many years in academia, first completing a PhD in Psychology and then working as a university lecturer.I began working with clay as a hobby, taking pottery classes in my spare time. After years of working predominantly with my mind, I found shaping clay with my hands very grounding. Over time, this personal mindfulness practice evolved into a calling to combine pottery with psychology and share the therapeutic benefits of claywork with others.I opened Wheelfulness Pottery in 2019, and since then I have completed specialised training in Clay Field® therapy and developed Clayfulness™, a psychodynamic approach to somatic clay meditation.
