  • 5/5 from Tina-Maria Donovan, attended Oct 2024: This was organised as a work team building event in our office kitchen. We had a great time together and learnt a lot. Bhavna did an amazing job of improvising with the limited facilities in an office kitchen. Our team was quite chaotic but we were keep on track and managed to prepare quite a feast all in electric fry pans. The mushroom Koma was an absolute winner. Bhavna also substituted ingredients on the fly when we realised that we are missing something of sourced the wrong ingredient. The team really enjoy the discussion on spices and Indian cuisine. Who know Indian cooking could be that easy. Thanks for a fun evening.
  • 5/5 from Kim Francis, attended Aug 2021: I organised a virtual cooking lesson with The Modern Desi for my fiancé’s 30th with a few of our friends. We had so much fun! Bhavna was very helpful and accomodating during the booking process and leading up to the class. It was all so well organised you can tell a lot of work and thought was put into every little detail. We received all our ingredients and a personalised menu ahead of time. Bhavna made sure we had an amazing time, the lesson itself was so well thought through and she made it really easy to follow along. She was funny, engaging and gave us some really interesting historical facts about Indian food while we cooked! My Fiancé loved his gift and all our friends messaged me afterward to say how much fun they had during the class. Finally, the food itself was so delicious We couldn’t wait to have the leftovers the next day (which was even more yummy than we remembered!) I could not recommend this class more! It’s so worth it. Thanks for giving us such a lovely experience.
