What you'll do
Do you love patterns? Do you enjoy doodling and drawing while on the telephone or in meetings? Are you looking for a new hobby and a way to relax and have fun after work? If so, this is the right drawing class for you.Your instructor, Sophie Cooper, has been doing this type of drawing for over 35 years and will guide you to create your own versions. The class includes everything you need to get started, as well as inspiration and tips so you can extend your new drawing skills after the class has finished. No drawing experience is necessary.At Made By Me Workshop, we believe craft is as much about creativity as it is about connection. In our workshops, you have the opportunity to meet new friends, share stories, laugh and simply enjoy some time out for yourself. We have coffee and tea-making facilities, as well as a few snacks to sustain you through the workshop. If you prefer your caffeine barista-made, you can pick one up on your way in from our neighbouring cafe Aslan (150m up the road).
What you'll get
All supplies will be provided, including a sketchbook and fineliners to work with. You will bring home everything you create.

Sophie is a graphic designer, illustrator, educator and maker and owner of Scoops Design. Her business Scoops Design, has been running since 2005, where she designs and makes jewellery and cards which are sold in 70 galleries and shops around Australia and overseas.
When she is not working in her studio, Sophie is teaching in Visual Communication at UTS. She loves sharing her knowledge about drawing, typography and image making to students. Sophie has worked in the design industry for over 25 years including art direction for a major tv network specialising in illustration and broadcast design as well as a product designer working on collaborations with the NGV and AGNSW. Sophie has been drawing and making things for as long as she can remember and it’s something that she absolutely loves to do.
