Your teacher
Since 2020, As a Deer Art has been a welcoming creative space where painting becomes a journey of creativity, healing and self-discovery. Now based on Sydney’s Upper North Shore, we offer watercolour, acrylic and palette knife painting workshops for children, teens and adults.Through a balance of technique and thoughtful guidance, students develop their skills, creativity, observation and confidence, while deepening their appreciation of art history.Founded and led by artist and art educator Virginia Chang, As a Deer Art hopes to bring the nourishment and healing of a clear, flowing stream—a gentle space to slow down, express yourself and find joy through art.“As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.”— Psalm 42:1
