Have a half-finished project sitting at home? A hobby you keep meaning to get back into? Or something new you've been wanting to try?
Bring it along to a relaxed Monday night made for sitting down, switching off, and actually making time for the things you enjoy.
There’s no set project and no pressure to create anything perfect. You bring whatever you feel like working on, and we’ll provide a cosy, creative space to do it alongside other people who like making things too.
Knitting, crochet, drawing, adult colouring, junk journalling, embroidery, hand sewing, sketching… if you can bring it along and work on it at the table, it’s welcome.
Sometimes all you need is a little time set aside, a comfy spot, and some good company to finally pick that project back up.
What to expect
Hobby Hang Out is a little different from our usual workshops. There’s no formal lesson or step-by-step project... this time, you choose what you want to make.
Settle in, work at your own pace, chat with the people around you, or pop your headphones in and get lost in your project.
Come once when you need a little creative reset, or make Monday nights your regular time to work on the hobby that never seems to happen at home.
What should I bring?
Bring your current creative project and any materials or tools you need to work on it.
It can be something you're halfway through, something you've been putting off starting, or a completely new hobby you'd like to give a go.
Not sure what to bring? Think:
  • Knitting or crochet
  • Adult colouring
  • Drawing or sketching
  • Embroidery or hand sewing
  • Small craft projects
  • Whatever you're currently making!
You're also welcome to BYO snacks and drinks — yes, that can include a glass of wine or a beer. Or we have tea, coffee, and water available.

Hobby Hang Out isn't a taught class, so you don't need to be particularly "good" at your hobby either. Bring something you're comfortable working on independently and enjoy having dedicated time and space to create. Share ideas or be inspired by what others are doing. Make connections and give yourself some "me" time.

The studio is located at Kiora Centre, 29 Kiora Road, Miranda. Parking The easiest option is to park at Westfield Miranda, which offers 3 hours of free parking (or 4 hours if you're a Westfield member using the app). The Kiora Road entrance is the closest to the studio. There is also timed street parking available on Kiora Road and the surrounding streets, however availability can vary. Travelling by train? Miranda Train Station is only a short 2–3 minute walk away, making it an easy option if you'd prefer not to drive.
