Maybe even a link to a how to video and on basic strokes which would leave more time for practical lettering instruction and review of work.

Walked away with confidence I can actually do this - even with no skill in Brush pen or calligraphy. Highly recommend this class. Great beginners class.

I would suggest using any cheap brush pen & buy the 'class only'. If your a little more experienced and/or really into learning writing styles then this is totally the class for you.

Icy explained and demonstrated the different types of strokes and we would follow and practise as well. She mentioned common FAQ's, beginner mistakes and tips/tricks along the way which was really helpful. By the end of the class I felt like I had learnt enough to be able to practise independently.

We got so addicted we spent another couple of hours doing some more after the class finished and pulled out our calligraphy tools the next day too. Would highly recommend this class to anyone! It was exciting to receive the kit a few days prior to the class and great to be able to learn something new from the safety & comfort of home. Icy is very sweet - slowly explaining things to us and also explaining techniques and styles that she prefers and why. The camera set up from Icy is also good - right over her hands so you can see exactly what she is doing. I found the brush pen more difficult to use than the pointed pen so would love to learn more about brush lettering.

It was interesting to try out the pointed pen although a bit tricky to make it pretty.

Icy is a great teacher, very patient, and the class is very easy to follow even though we do it in zoom class. Definitely we need more self-practice because this short class only covers the basic technique. But the practice module surely will help a lot.
