Step into The Candle Bar by DREAMIE, where candle-making meets cocktail vibes in the heart of Sydney City—just 5 minutes from Central Station.

In this fun and beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll get hands-on as you pour, mix and layer your own candle “drink”—choosing your fragrance, colours and decorations to craft something truly unique. Our friendly instructors will guide you every step of the way, so no experience is needed—just bring your creativity (and a few friends if you like!).

We also offer kid-friendly options, where little creators can make their own “drink-style” candles instead of cocktail designs—safe, colourful and full of fun for younger participants or family sessions.

Perfect for birthdays, hens' parties, team events, or a relaxing night out, The Candle Bar is a space designed for connection, creativity and a little bit of fun. Come for the candles, stay for the vibes, and leave with your own handmade masterpiece to light at home.

The instructor explained everything clearly, from mixing colours to pouring the layers, so it felt very beginner-friendly. I loved being able to choose my own cocktail inspiration and customise the colours, scents, and garnishes — it really felt like making a drink, just in candle form. The process was surprisingly relaxing, and there was no pressure to get it perfect. Watching the layers come together was super satisfying, and the time flew by without me even noticing. I walked away with a candle that looks good enough to drink and smells amazing. It’s such a fun idea for a date, a girls’ catch-up, or something different to do in Sydney, and I’d definitely recommend it.

What I loved most about the cocktail candle workshop was how hands-on and chill it felt. You get to play around with colours, scents, and layers, and there’s no pressure to make it “perfect.” The instructor guides you through the steps but still gives you space to be creative. Watching the candle slowly come together was oddly satisfying, and the final result actually looks like a cute summer drink sitting on a bar. Such a fun way to switch off and do something creative.

The host was a very lovely person who kept us entertained throughout the whole session. They were very attentive, patient and knew a lot about candles and how to make them. The class had a large selection of colours, scents, glasses, garnish and decorations to choose from. They also had a large sample menu for us to get inspiration from where we ended up making our own interpretation of Aperol Spritz and Blue Lagoon. We highly recommend to try this at least once. It was easy to learn and we walked away with some lovely candles!

You get to mix colours, layer wax, and decorate it like a real cocktail, which makes the whole process really creative and hands-on. The instructor explained everything step by step and made it very beginner-friendly, so it didn’t feel rushed or stressful at all. I liked that we had the freedom to design our own candle rather than following one fixed style. My candle turned out looking almost too good to light, and the scent was amazing. It’s a great activity for a date, a catch-up with friends, or just trying something different. Definitely one of the more unique workshops I’ve done

We got our inspiration online and put our own creative twist to it! We also got to choose our own scent, making our candles smell like an actual drink. The teacher is very friendly and patient too. We love this class and would totally come back to do another one!

It would be good to place them in a box then a bag as the candle toppled over while we walked. Other than that, venue is close to station.
