  • 5/5 from Lee Cheung, attended Oct 2026: We had a fantastic time with Scott, we went around The Rocks area and took photos while adjusting different settings to learn the effects.
  • 5/5 from Anthony Bui, attended Mar 2026: Scott’s use of practical examples made complex photography concepts easy to grasp. The theory and note-taking portion was especially helpful for my learning style.
  • 5/5 from David, attended Feb 2026: The course was well worth it and I’m considering doing more lessons with Scott. I had so many aha moments with Scott’s instructions and techniques.
  • 5/5 from Bill Roth, attended Nov 2024: Arrived for the photo course with limited photography knowledge about manual settings and left it with a much better base of knowledge that will allow me to build my photo skills in manual setup photography. I enjoyed the outdoor setting as well.
  • 5/5 from Mariam Bazzi, attended Feb 2024: Scott was a formidable and knowledgeable teacher who was patient in his approach to teaching his course. He spent substantial time in confirming and teaching the technicalities of the lesson itself and provided practical opportunities to help consolidate our learning and understanding. I would highly encourage him for your next lesson, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience:-)
  • 5/5 from Rick Peng, attended Nov 2023: Great photography training from a very experienced photographer who has worked with well known celebrities and magazines around the world!
  • 4/5 from Zoe Williams, attended Jan 2023: Very knowledgeable and Interesting course, would recommend to upskill and learn the essentials of your camera to get the best photography skills you can!
  • 5/5 from Rachel Williams, attended Nov 2022: Scott was really good at explaining what we were going to do and how to do it. He was very knowledgeable about each camera that was being used on the day. He was very patient if I got stuck on a piece of info he would explain it again. I believe the experience was good value for cost. I learnt some valuable “how too” tools that you wouldn’t get from a video tutorial. What I took away was practice what you’ve learnt. Then practice some more. The start location was easy to find. We stopped for a break to absorb all the info we were taught and a quick coffee for the second half. I would recommend this course.
  • 5/5 from Brooke Keating, attended Nov 2022: This short course was a fantastic introduction to some elements of photography, with a particular emphasis on the "exposure" triangle. Scott was a great teacher who fit so much useful content into a short period of time. I bought this as a gift for my partner (the budding photographer) and I joined for company (I am definitely not a photographer) but did not expect to enjoy it or learn anywhere near as much as I did (further testament to Scott's teaching). I highly recommend this course to anyone after a quick, intense (in a good way) jump into photography; thanks for such a great experience, Scott!
  • 5/5 from Thomas Lakeland, attended Nov 2022: Really enjoyed the class. Good amount of time, covered all the basics, and went to multiple locations to try out each skill and technique. I particularly enjoyed the frameworks for developing your exposure for each scene, and my partner got a lot out of all of the overall camera control (she's gone from dabbling in auto mode to able to shoot in manual). No real discussion of composition etc. though, so better to go for a private lesson if you're looking for that. Overall a great morning and I got to develop and reaffirm my approach to exposure control.
  • 4/5 from Ernesto Pereira, attended Aug 2022: Scott was very knowledgeable and gave us good tips and techniques. The various spots chosen for photography was perfect. I am a newbie to photography so learnt a lot today and have a lot to digest as wellThanks Scott for your time and class today
  • 4/5 from Julie Pearse, attended Feb 2020: Good communication by Scott, especially when the original course couldn't go ahead due to lack of numbers and we had to arrange a substitute. Scott was very willing to share his experiences, the things he had learnt himself, the mistakes he'd made and ways he had taught himself. He was more than willing to answer our questions and help us in any way he could. We spent a bit of time going over some theory and background information on the fundamentals of photography, took some shots of iconic Sydney and plenty of notes!
