Design Your Own Repeat Textile Print Workshop

We'll start with still life drawing and learn how to turn these into your own repeat textile print

1.5 hours Class size 10 to 20 guests       $35

At the Makers and Shakers Market in June, Em will be doing a still life drawing workshop with a twist!
We'll start by drawing various objects and knick-knacks - encouraging the quietening of your inner critic, keeping it expressive and individual to you.
You'll then learn how to turn these drawings into a super cute repeat textile print in your own style using only paper, sticky tape, and scissors.
Em will provide all objects, paper, and all drawing materials required for the class; all you need to bring is your lovely self and your creativity!
What you'll get
Your very own repeat textile print emailed to you after class, and knowledge of how to do it again!

  • 5/5 from Claire Chow, attended Jun 2025: Em is such a lovely teacher. It’s so natural to her that you don’t even realise you’re being taught. She has created a class where you cannot make a mistake; the only thing you can create is art. I enjoyed this class as an adult and so did my ten year old friend. Highly recommend it.

Hi Friendo!
My name is Em, I am a multidisciplinary artist based on Gadigal land in Sydney’s Inner West. I work across the intersections of digital illustration, painting, graphic storytelling and textile design.
Through my work I explore themes of joy, sadness, the body and mental health. Recently my work has skewed towards depictions of femme figures unapologetically lounging.
I love sharing my skills with others and encouraging others to embrace creativity and their own style.
