Whimsical and Waste-Free: A Mindful Journaling Workshop

A cosy journaling session. Bring stationery to swap, doodle a spring spread, and slow down for the afternoon.

2 hours

Class size 1 to 10 (public classes), 6 to 12

$33 - $38 (Earlybird price of $33 applies if you book into a public session 21+ days ahead)

Join me for a slow, hands-on spring afternoon exploring mindful journaling, the kind that turns a blank page from something intimidating into something fun. We'll be working with paper offcuts, recycled bits and pieces, and eco-friendly ephemera to build whimsical journal layouts you'll actually want to look back on.
If you've ever stared at a blank journal page and closed it again without writing a thing, this one's for you. No previous art experience needed, just come as you are.
~*~*~ What We Will Explore ~*~*~
  • Beginner-Friendly Doodles: Simple hand-doodling techniques anyone can pick up, think little tulips, daisies, and budding branches
  • Washi Tape Layering: Foolproof ways to layer tape and texture so your page looks finished, no design experience needed
  • Guided Prompt Cards: Easy-to-follow prompts to help you fill the page and build a little sustainable memory log of your own
~*~*~ Bring Along Activity (optional) ~*~*~
Got stationery, paper goods, washi tape, notebooks, or bookmarks sitting unused at home? Bring up to 3 items to swap on our table, a little spring clean for your paper stash, and take home something someone else has loved and let go of. No obligation, just a fun way to give it a second life.
~*~*~ Browse the Pop-Up Shop ~*~*~
I’ll also be setting up a mini pop-up shop featuring a wider range of Swallow Wind Art paper goodies. If you want to add more to your journal or find a gift, you'll find a curated selection of:
  • Illustrated Stickers & Washi Tape
  • Greeting Cards & Bookmarks
  • Memo Pads, Notebooks & Keyrings

Swallow Wind Art

female Women-owned

Hi there! Swallow Wind Art has been creating and making adorable paper goodies in Sydney since 2020. My name is Fiona, the heart behind Swallow WInd Art. My love for journaling and doodling blossomed as a personal escape, much like crafting my cute designs.
That's why I'm thrilled to offer workshops—to help you discover your creative spark, no matter your skill. Seeing someone's face light up when they create something sweet is my favorite! I love providing a cozy space to explore, breaking down those ‘I'm not artistic’ barriers. I truly believe creativity is for everyone, a way to find joy and calm.
Fun fact: journaling and doodling are about intuition, not perfection! Like my cute-themed designs, your doodles will be uniquely yours. I love using different pens and textures for a tactile experience, and I'm always doodling cute little things on the go! Just as I try to be mindful, I encourage finding joy in the little things. Inspiration comes from everywhere, and I bring that into my workshops, helping you connect with simple, heartwarming moments.
