Looking for a creative way to unwind, take a break from a busy week, or enjoy a little time for yourself?
This gentle art workshop offers a calm, supportive space to explore soft pastels, express yourself through colour, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with your hands.
In this four-class Pastel Nagomi Art series, you’ll learn the gentle techniques of Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art, build your confidence, and create a small collection of artworks to take home.
Each week, you’ll discover new techniques and themes, from soft colour gradients and expressive shapes to nature-inspired and abstract compositions. With step-by-step demonstrations and plenty of time to practise, you’ll gradually develop your skills and your own creative style.
This isn’t about being ‘good at art’ or getting everything perfect. It’s about giving yourself a little space to breathe, exploring colour, and enjoying the process of creating.
What to expect:
Week 1 — Discover & Create
Introduction to Pastel Nagomi Art, finger blending, colour harmony, and creating your first artwork.
Week 2 — Explore Colour & Shape
Build on blending techniques and explore composition, shapes, and expressive colour combinations.
Week 3 — Nature & Expression
Explore nature-inspired themes, layering, and textures while developing your own creative expression.
Week 4 — Create & Reflect
Bring your learning together, create a final artwork, and celebrate your growing collection of Nagomi pieces.

  • Anyone looking for a regular creative escape from a busy week
  • Beginners who want to explore Pastel Nagomi Art in a relaxed setting

Art to Form

female Women-owned

Hi, I’m Daphne. I’m the founder of Art to Form and a certified instructor of Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art. I run gentle, beginner‑friendly workshops that invite you to slow down, play with colour, and reconnect with your creativity.
After almost a decade in interior design, I realised I was chasing perfection and heading toward burnout. That’s when I discovered Japanese Pastel Nagomi Art - a slower, softer way of creating. With just pastel powders and our fingers, we make calming, heartwarming artworks that feel meditative and expressive. No experience needed, just curiosity.
Art to Form is my invitation to pause, breathe, and make something beautiful. Whether you join a community class, a private event, or a circle of friends, I’d love for you to be part of this gentle creative space.
