About the tutor:
Cheryl is an art tutor and working artist based in Penrith. You’ll find some of her paintings for sale at Stella’s Art Gallery on Penrith High Street from time to time. She also paints live in the gallery once a week. Cheryl is an expressive painter who loves adding vibrancy and emotion to her work.
Workshop style:
  • Choose bold, expressive colours for your pet painting
  • No tiny brushes at the start
  • No initial drawing of your pet—just start painting loosely
  • Build the painting up in layers using acrylic washes and glazes
  • Highlights added at the end for a vibrant finish
  • Everyone will be guided through the process

  • Date/Time: Sunday 18th October 12:30 – 4:30pm
  • Ages: 14+ welcome (great for parent & child fun afternoon!)

Please note that a yearly membership fee is required to attend any workshop/classes at The Nepean Art Society venue.

What to bring
What to bring (please select these 2 photos):
  • A clear coloured photo of your pet
  • A black and white photo of your pet
  • Both photos should have a good light source (clear lighting helps us capture form and expression)
Tip for your photos: You can use a free app called “Clipdrop” to enhance the lighting effect and help your reference photo look clearer.
