After years of home sewing, I pursued formal studies in fashion and started my dressmaking business from home while raising my children. I also volunteered in schools, teaching hand sewing and crochet.A highlight of my creative journey was crocheting a christening dress that won First Prize at the Royal Adelaide Craft Show—such an exciting moment where my design and skills were recognised!As a self-care practitioner, I understand the positive impact creativity has on overall wellbeing, especially mental health.
