Taking it back to basic shapes and how to use them together (and to take it slow) was a huge lightbulb moment for me, as well as learning to use a dip pen properly. I was a little concerned about being such a noob to Calligraphy, but I breezed through the learning process a lot easier than I thought I would, and found it so interesting and very relaxing. Icy shares a valuable source of information, not only on the 'learning side', but also her own history, and where to source further papers and products. I practised what I learned in class today, and am proud to say I am happy with my writing style and know in time as I practice, it will improve. I highly suggest this class to all, and look forwards to the next class I am taking with her.

I need to do lots more practice of the basics before I can move on to all the swirls and swooshes, but it was a great start! It is way harder to control the ink flow that you might thing. Icy has a calming way about her and I could listen to her explainations all day. I noticed that each stroke was very mindful and I loved this, thanks for providing such a hands on and inciteful class, thoroughly enjoyed it!

I love it and recommend 100%, I like her style and I love that she make the movements really slow so you can see how to do it by yourself. Also, she send all what you need and explain how to use it. She explained all of the basic elements of calligraphy in a way that was easy to understand and you didn't feel like you were missing out by doing the course over zoom instead of in person. I'd highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to start doing calligraphy. I'm certainly going to keep at it!

She goes at an appropriate speed for beginners to see exactly how she is doing the lettering but it would not be boring for those with some skills. Her technology set up is perfect for demonstrating and she knows exactly how to use it. I would recommend this class to anyone who has wanted to start calligraphy but were afraid they couldn't do it.
