What you'll do

All materials provided - ink, watercolour, markers, paper. No pressure to be perfect, just bring yourself.July: Kickstart a new art journal. We’ll explore drawing and painting through playful prompts inspired by everyday moments. You'll walk away with 5 new artistic techniques that you can use to hone your style.August: Pattern Play. Ready to dive deeper? Step into the world of pattern-making, focusing on colour, composition, and flair. By the end of the month, you'll have 5 unique designs ready to be turned into a pattern.These sessions invite you to loosen your grip on perfection and rediscover the joy of mark-making. No pressure to “get it right”, it’s all about showing up, experimenting, and quietly surprising yourself. Whether you’re revisiting old skills or trying something completely new, this is your chance to build confidence while having fun.

Hi, I’m Ru Biini, founder of Biini Designs art and textile studio based in Sydney's Inner West. I’ve been painting for over ten years and designing textiles with a focus on creating pieces that feel beautiful, welcoming, and inspiring. As a queer, neurodivergent artist, I make my classes inclusive, safe, and fun spaces for all skill levels and learning styles. I believe that creativity requires both courage and support. My classes are calm collaborative spaces where you can discover your creative voice without the pressure to be perfect.
