What you'll do
Create miniature collages and Christmas ornaments with your team in this relaxed, art-filled workshop. Explore materials, colours, textures and ideas while making unique pieces that reflect your own style. No experience is necessary, and you do not need to feel confident with art to enjoy this activity. This differs from a paint and sip. Instead of following a step-by-step process, you will be invited to move between creative stations and explore at your own pace. You will have the freedom to experiment, make choices and discover what feels right for you, with guidance available whenever you need it.Work with a range of paper, found materials, decorative elements and other creative supplies to build your miniature collage and Christmas ornament. The workshop is relaxed, social and designed to help you feel comfortable, curious and inspired.
- Create a miniature collage using mixed materials and personal ideas.
- Make a Christmas ornament to decorate your home or give as a thoughtful gift.
- Learn how to layer, arrange and combine colours, patterns and textures.
- Explore creative stations rather than completing a fixed step-by-step project.
- Take breaks for drinks and food whenever you want to.
- Enjoy the activity in a hired venue or your workplace.
- Receive support and encouragement throughout, whether you are completely new to making art or simply looking for a playful creative experience.

Your teacher
Hello, I’m Abbie — an artist and educator based in regional Victoria. My practice spans drawing, painting & printmaking. I love to create workshops that invite people to engage with art in fresh and unexpected ways. From bold, hand-painted earrings to collages and expressive watercolours, my sessions are designed to be creative, fun and relaxing.I’m passionate about teaching because it allows me to share not only skills, but the confidence and joy that come from making something by hand. I’ve taught in schools, galleries and cultural institutions including The Art Gallery of Ballarat and Heide Museum of Modern Art. I love to share my passion for art and look forward to seeing you at one of my workshops.
