Clay and Sip Class: Hand Building with Wine

Get your hands dirty and make a cup and saucer while you enjoy your favourite drinks and nibbles

2 hours Location Willoughby Class size 1 to 30 guests   $95 (Afterpay available)

You bring the wine and we'll bring the clay! Join Silky Shapes in Willoughby for this interactive clay hand building class and learn how to make pots as you sip drinks and nibble on snacks.
This two-hour wine and pottery class is the perfect Christmas get together with friends and family as well as a great date night idea or the perfect corporate team building activity.
The combination of wine and clay allows you to fully unwind while learning a tactile new skill. These sessions are BYO wine and nibbles allowing you to enjoy your favourite things while getting your hands muddy and creating beautiful and functional ceramics.
Don't feel like drinking wine? Bring tea or coffee or anything else you feel like drinking! Don't forget to pack cups, nibbles, bottle openers and plates for yourself.
We will provide instructions, materials and tools for making a cup and a saucer or small plate. You will also be able to pick glaze colours for your cups and saucers. Your creations will be ready to pick up a couple of weeks later after we've glazed and fired them.
These cups and saucers will be food-safe, and you will be able to eat and drink out of them, and put them in the microwave and dishwasher.
If you're looking for things to do this weekend, this class is one of the best pottery and wine Sydney sessions to indulge in!

  • 5/5 from Tarishi Kwatra, attended Jan 2024: Awesome option for a team outing. We had a cross geography cross cultural group. She was really good with us.
  • 5/5 from Luciano Llorens, attended Jul 2023: Love the class & teacher was very patient with all of us! thank you very much!
  • 5/5 from Tiina Carpenter, attended Mar 2022: We had a ball with this class. Who would have thought we could carve out some amazing pottery skill out of software engineers. The teacher had a nice touch to give us the instructions and then let us get creative with her gentle guidance. Logistics worked well and would highly recommend for a team building exercise.
  • 5/5 from Jake Metters, attended Feb 2022: Yegana was and excellent teacher. She was patient and if she couldn’t correct a mistake, she was very quick to let you know you could start over without any concern for the materials. I appreciated the freedom to select patterns and paints and the care the teacher took in making sure she had it correct. Nicole was super helpful as well. She had some good tips and eager to please.
