What you'll do
Unleash your inner artist and join a transformative clay sculpture and hand building class in Sydney! In this engaging workshop, you'll learn how to hand-build clay and create something unique to take home. No prior experience is necessary - you'll be guided through the entire process, step-by-step, in a comfortable and relaxing environment.
Intimidated by art or worried about making mistakes? No problem! This activity is perfect for beginners. You'll discover new skills and techniques, and our friendly teacher, Heather Hunt, will provide all the support and encouragement you need to create your own masterpiece.
Get your hands in the clay and learn the fundamentals of hand-building. Using the pinching and press technique, and coiling you'll make basic shapes that can be transformed into stunning pottery pieces. During the workshop, you'll enjoy sipping on your refreshments and getting truly creative!
The fun doesn't end there! We'll take care of firing and glazing your two favourite pieces, which are included in the class cost. For an additional piece, we'll take care of the firing and glazing for a small extra fee. You'll get to take home beautiful pieces that are food safe and dishwasher-proof.

East Village Art House is a small but industrious art Studio, located in historical Balmain and founded by Heather Hunt.
With a wealth of talent EVAH offers workshops and courses in a variety of mediums, ranging from watercolour painting, Acrylic painting, Textile Loom weaving and raffia Weaving, and recently expanding to introduce Clay hand-building workshops. EVAH also offers fun group experiences, including Clay & Rosé and Sip & Paint.
All this packed into the cutest Art studio in Sydney's Inner West.
