  • Adding essential oils and botanicals to preserve their properties
  • The equipment and tools needed to make soap at home
  • How to de-mould, cut, store and cure your soap.
A Journey into Soap Making
Our signature Luxury Soap Bar workshop is the ideal place to begin. It introduces the fundamentals of cold process soap making, guiding you through the hows and whys of working with lye, blending oils and butters, and customising your soap with natural clays and essential oils.
This foundational class runs monthly, giving you regular opportunities to start your soap-making journey with confidence.
Once you’ve experienced the magic of making your own soap, you’re invited to return and deepen your skills through our rotating schedule of specialty soap workshops. These also run monthly and focus on a different recipe each time.
We rotate through a collection of five beautiful formulations, so if one catches your eye, we recommend booking early—it may be several months before it returns.
Each specialty class builds on the foundational skills you’ve learned, offering new ingredients, techniques, and inspiration to help you grow your confidence and creativity.
Our Specialty Soap Workshops:
Each of these unique recipes is offered just a few times a year, so you can continue learning and creating with new techniques and beautiful, natural ingredients.

Made by Me Workshop is about helping people to connect with their "inner creative" and have some fun while making beautiful things from quality materials in our friendly & vibrant studio space in the heart of the inner west!
Established in 2017 after Rebecca Doyle decided to take a career break and chose to revisit her childhood love for arts & crafts. Rebecca grew up in a large family where money was tight, after school activities where mostly homegrown and usually involved a sheet of cardboard, a glue stick and some glitter! It is probably no surprise to learn that Rebecca followed a creative path to study Fashion & Textile Design at University!
After a few more decades (than Rebecca will publicly admit to) and a long and varied career in the fashion industry, Rebecca wanted to get back to creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind objects - Made By Me Workshop is the result of where this path led.
Rebecca loves that moment of pride that comes over each participant's face when they look at what they have created and say to themselves "Wow - I made this & I love it!"
Made by Me Workshop run a variety of creative workshops, hen’s parties, private parties and corporate events from their warehouse space in St Peters including Resin Art, Resin Jewellery & Mould Making, Soap Making, Terrazzo Homewares, Punch Needle, Macrame and many more.
